Australia’s bushfire crisis has produced an outpouring of kindness and compassion from across the globe. It has also brought the brutal realities of climate change into sharp relief and may — with any luck — help set us on a path towards more meaningful sustainability.
Once we emerge out of this crisis, can we please think again about who we like, who we hate and why we hold those positions? Is it fair to kill individuals because they are in the wrong place at the wrong time? Is it fair to do that painfully or slowly? Post-fires, I think we owe it to all living things on this planet to ask these difficult questions and then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Learning to lead a sustainable life is how we can improve our own lives, the lives of the people in the community, the animals, plants and insects in our natural environment and all the living creatures and natural elements on our planet. Click on our booklets to find out more.
