True equality isn’t just a “feeling”—it is a measurable goal. Empowering women and girls and achieving gender equality are crucial to creating inclusive, open and prosperous societies”.

Women and girls are recognised as a vast, underutilised source of talent, skill, and innovation. When educated and healthy, women become “drivers of change” in their communities, often acting as the main caregivers and decision-makers. When women are empowered, they invest 90% of their income back into their families (education, healthcare), creating a ripple effect of prosperity. In short, empowering women and girls is not merely a social issue, but a critical “smart economics” strategy that fosters a more creative, resilient, and wealthier world. We know that investing in the rights and opportunities of underserved populations, particularly women, is the most effective way to create a more prosperous, creative, and wealthier world.
